So I've ran over 200 rnds of Wincester White Box 147gr JHP ammo
through my EAA Witness 9mm and so far have been disappointed.
It seems the flat of the JHP will catch on the feed ramp and jam
almost every 2 or 3 shots. Has anyone else had this problem and
if so what have they started using instead?

Has anyone tried:
MagSafe? #95 + P Max Load 1,950fps/540fpe

Glaser? Blue Safety Slug 9 MM +P 80 GR. 1650FPS/484FTLBS

Remington? Golden Saber

American Ammunition?

Federal? Hydra Shok 147 / 9.53

Thank You for the help.

While it is not my normal 9mm ammunition I do have several boxes of the WWB 147 gr. JHP. I just hand cycled a couple of mags through my older Witness PS with no problems. Normally I load it with 124 gr. JHP's and I've had no failure to feed since the gun was bought new in 1997.

I'd try a different magazine, and make sure the rounds are laying correctly on the follower. Also have a look at the feed ramp to make sure it's smooth.

Mine shoots to POI with 115 grn rnds. Anything heavier hits a few inches high at 15 yards. Im currently carrying 124grn Gold Dots but am going to switch to 115 grn load soon.

Also, take apart the magazine and clean it well. Mine malfunctioned a couple times on one range trip and I found that the mag was filthy. I bought it used and for what ever stupid reason never cleaned the magazine. I dont think the previous owner ever did either.

Ok maybe I should have mentioned a couple more things.
I have a new 2005 large frame EAA witness 9mm.
regularly cleaned after every range trip, 100 rnds or 500 rnds.
Cleaned nonetheless. I also do clean the mag and anything else i can.
The ramp is nice and smooth. The flat of the WWB JHP is catching the flat at the start of the ramp. So its not really even making it onto the ramp to
be stopped by a not-smooth ramp finish.
Let me also say I've put over 2000 rnds of WWB
115 grn fmj through this with not one FTF or FTE. If the ammunition
is para shaped, it works.
