Here in Missouri we have a 9 day early goose season which opened the morning of October 3rd and closed last night October 11th. My buddy and I along with my dog were able to hunt opening weekend and then it was just my dog and me for the closing weekend. 6 birds during 4 total days of hunting isn't too bad I suppose. Better than not getting any.
