My wife's Kimber Pro Raptor II is her favorite pistol, and she is scary accurate with it. The problem is that it ejects the spent casing straight back. She thinks this is pretty funny, and the hat and glasses prevent any injury, but how can I adjust the ejector to have the cases eject to the side?

ejection pattern

You may need to tweek the extractor slightly not the ejector.
look carefully at how the extractor holds and determine where to lightly stone so it will release to a different area..MINUTE AMOUNT ONLY then test.

good luck ,

Wondering if the pistol ejects the same for you? Reason being the ejection direction largely depends on the firmness of the hold.

If the pistol is twisting in recoil, it very well might be ejecting properly....just the muzzle rise and twist make them come straight back at her.

If that IS the case, it might be easier and more beneficial to modify the shooters hold rather than trying to correct the mechanics of the pistol.

My Eclipse Custom II did the same thing with the external extractor. I sent it back to Kimber and they installed a new slide with an internal extractor, as JMB intended. Problem solved.

It would also occasionaly pull the last round straight back into the magazine lips, spreading them apart and damaging them.
