CVA makes an electric ignition rifle.
for some reason it has to go through FFL and can not be sold to felons even though it is still a black powder weapon.

When I was a kid and into model rocketry, we often as not made our own igniters from "common Household items" that seemed to work as well, and more reliably than the ones that came with engines.

When I was at demo school at Velsek I mentioned this to my insane instructor and we turned a non electric blasting cap into and electric using the home built igniter and another common substance.

No I will not share or even suggest you were wrong or right if you guess.

In the 1960's the Army used electric squibs in training. This was sort of an electric blasting cap that made a loud "Pop" but did not tear itself up.

Of course tankers and the like are aware of the Hoffman Device a system of tubes atop the main gun that hold electrically detonated fire crackers. You older guys can think M-80s or silver salutes and pretty much have it. This was to simulate main gun fire.

Of course the gas sound makers were electrically set off as well in a sense in that they used a spark plug to set of the mixture of LP gas and air. The tank based one on a Sherman was used for the post salute gun at Knox for years and the boom could be heard for miles. The other use of LP guns was a simulated machine gun fire on various "move out" ranges.

My last electric priming tail is of a potato gun that used auto gasoline from a perfume atomizer and the piezio starter from a grill......push the button, Max!
