I once read an article by Ross Seyfried where he said the worst thing that could happen on opening day was to kill an elk.

Killed the elk on Saturday, cut it up on Sunday, worked on Monday, packaged and froze it on Tuesday flew to Europe for 12 days on Wednesday. Heck of a week.

That would be a bummer hunting trip for me. I would have almost considered passing due to it being the end of the hunt, I may have regretted that decision; but I enjoy the hunt too much to have it over so quickly.
