I've decided to convert my rattiest No.4 Mk1 Enfields to an imposter jungle carbine.
I found a conversion kit that will allow me to do just that, and I really don't have any concerns except for: cutting the barrel and installing the flash hider.

I'm aware I'll have to cut the barrel... I think I'm fine with that. I'm also guessing I must recrown the muzzle.

However, I'm guessing I'll have to sweat the flash hider to the new muzzle? I'll have to recrown the new muzzle as well, correct?

Are there any specialized tools I need to get this done?

I'm aware there are quite a few out there that bare their teeth at the thought of another proper configuration Enfield going under the knife, but the kit I'm going to buy appears to have the potential of turning my present turd into a beauty.

Yes, you will have to recrown the muzzle if you cut the barrel. Cheap and dirty is a large brass screw, a drill and valve grinding compound. Anything else will require a lathe.
As to sweating the flash hider, need to see it or the instructions that come with it.

The original flash hiders were held on by 2 pins. Some of the imitations, notabaly by Gibbs were only held on by 1 pin and more than 1 got launched when fired.

Soft solder wouldn't hold the flash hider and silver brazing is really not the best option.

As above, the #5 flash hider was pressed on really tight, and then pinned with two pins on top of the hider.
This is the preferred method and is often the easiest.
