some totally insane guy goes into his shop, and in response all potential customers get punished?

Give me a break. Although - I should add this is an old video. It's made the gun-board rounds a few times.

Sorry, I know how annoying it is for old threads to keep getting re created.

it's ok doubleg - I wasn't trying to down you.

Personally I really don't care about old threads being redone. There's usually something insightful added to the new one, or at least something incredibly hilarious.

I just pointed it out as I wasn't sure if people were aware that this didn't JUST happen.

No worries! Southeast Louisianna is sliding into the Gulf. Patience...it's just a matter of time. . . . :neener:

And another thing! --WDSU is a local version of CNN/MSNBC so ---- take it for what it's worth.

*sigh*

Working at an FFL, I know the legal recourses that owner had to stop what was obviously a "bad egg" from hatching; the fact that he punishes ALL of his customers is just stupid. He has the right to deny the sale to an individual, but extending that to ALL individuals, just because of one father who obviously has less-than-stellar intentions for the weapon, is...........*sigh*. Even though no, nothing illegal happened.

This guy is the official scapegoat for why some people dislike working with counter-monkeys at FFLs, at least in my book.

The owner might have said "only police" to cut down on idiots visiting his store. Given how uneducated that guy with his kid probably was I suspect that a clean cut, intelligent person could probably still buy an AK there if the pawn had one for sale.

I think that because he has to sell stuff to make money on loans that default. So unless he stops accepting AKs for collateral on loans he will have to move them somehow when the loans go bad.

uhhhhh

What did the guy do wrong? I mean if he wants to raise his kids that way it is his business, further to that, what is wrong with encouraging your kid to become a soldier? Granted, his view and my view might have been different, but in this society we are meant to give people the benfit of the doubt.

Why are the NOLA Police "concerned" about this? What is to be "concerned" over? After Katrina most of us went out an bought another gun, because what happened there is scary.
