Anyone got any experience with suppressor warranty service? I'm not talking repairs from baffle strikes or other user issues, but issues that shouldn't have happened in normal use, but did and are covered under their warranty.

I'm curious about other's experiences. Appears mine will have a happy ending (for me) but the Fed's don't make it quick or easy and the maker is taking it on the chin and doing what it takes to make it right.

I'll tell my tale eventually when its over in 3+ months :(

I had an AAC 762SD (older 18T version) that was built "out of spec".

It would back off the mounts when being fired causing serious problems with concentricity.

I sent the can back to AAC a couple of times and they ended up condemning the can stating the can could not be rebuilt.

Seeing is how the older 18T models were no longer being made, they replaced it with a newer 51T model. Not only did they replace the can but they also replaced the half dozen 18T mounts with newer 51T mounts.

All in all I'm happy with AAC's handing of the situation. It took a little while, I did have to pay for another stamp but all in all it was a positive experience.

I will add that AAC offered to pay the stamp but then process would have added more time to an already horrifyingly long process.

Zak at Tbac fixed the threads on one of my 30p-1 when they got loose. I figured it was my fault and offered to pay but he said it shouldn't have happened from normal use. I had roughly 8500 rounds on it when I sent it in but it had been gradually getting looser.
