Extending length of stock on an 870

As title really. What do you guys think is the best way of extending the stock a bit? My 870 stock a a bit short for me. I may not do anything about it, but I'm thinking of ways of extending it a little.

Would you recommend a longer buttpad? If so what type? I'd like one that looked as original as possible, as my 870 is pretty old and in nice condition.

Check out Midway, or some other supplier, for buttstock/recoil pad spacers. They come in different thicknesses. You can use your existing recoil pad or put on a larger one.
