Fastest start to deer season...

In my Taj Mahal tower 15 minutes. An eight appears 125 yards away, just where he has hung up all archery season. #1 son grunted him in and I got him at 26. Kind of no challenge for the 220 Savage. Had to turn scope down to 1.5X.

Superb! But, I got mine inside 10 minutes of finally sitting down. LOL Odd part is, I got to the blind, discovered I didn't have a full bottle of butane for my thermocell and the skeeters were fierce. So, I go back to the ATV, ride back to the house, get a can of bug spray, ride BACK, spray that stinky stuff all in the blind, and sit down. 10 minutes and I have a dead deer on the ground after all THAT.

He was probably bothered by the skeeters, too, and ran to the smell. I tell ya what, I ain't wasting money on scent spray.

Yup good shot, for some reason the close up shots can be more difficult for me than the longer range shots.

He had such little reaction I thought for a minute I had missed. He trotted fifty yards to a thicket. Turned and trotted up the hill across the boat field, climbed forty yards laid down and died. Two lungs, liver, through and through and almost no blood trail. When we opened him up, there was all of it.
