Showing off a rifle I had today to a few friends at a local flea market, a recently newer friend looked it over and was very impressed with my M1 Garand. When I started to leave he asked me to come look at a couple guns he had in his building. He pulled out a Nornico NHM90 with folding stock and other bells and whistles, then he pulled out this drop dead beautiful Fausti O/U 12ga. The O/U has 28" barrels, coin finish with wonderful engraving, gold SST chambered for 3" shells and two modified chokes. This shotgun if ever shot was not more than a few rounds but it does look like it has spent its life in a safe. Long story short he offered both the AK and the O/U with a substantial amount of cash. Now I have two new guns in cabinet and cash for my next shopping trip, as long as better half don't find out.. I might have to take up shooting skeet or at least dove hunting.

The Fausti sisters run a company that makes guns to all price points, makes guns for other companies in various degrees of finishing, and is also connected to the E. Rizzini family. If the gun fits you, have fun with it

Shortly after I received the shotgun I stopped a my favorite gun shop and showed it off to the owner. The LOP was a little long for him but you could see he was really wanting the gun, but for my long arms it fits perfect and unless he wants to shell out big bucks it has a new home. Already looking at a clay target thrower now to help me learn shotguns again

Find yourself a local trap/skeet/sporting clays club - not only will you get better target presentations, you should be able to get some help and advice.

Remington has some helpful brochures on the basics of trap and skeet.

Here's a listing of those type of clubs in Alabama

I really like Fausti shotguns. Be careful buying additional choke tubes - they use a few different thread patterns, but I believe the Fausti/Traditions ones are the most common.

Have fun!

Thanks for the input here. In the part of Ala I'm at it would be at least 1 to 1 1/2 hr drive but still great to know the places. Link to the Remington page is great found more than just the info on Skeet/Trap shooting.

Depending on what of AL you are in, you might look to cross a border if one of them are closer. I drive 25 miles 3X per week for practice, but I will drive 1 to 1-1/2 hours for tournaments on a weekend. Competition can get addicting if you have any bit of a competitive spirit
