Depends on what I am shooting.
This weekend, in my bolt gun, I shot a 168 SMK 39.0 grs IMR 4895 commercial cases and Federal primers standing and sitting RF at 200 yards. My offhand was awful but my sitting was a 198 with a good X count.
At 300 yards I shot a 168 SMK with 42.0 grains IMR 4064 LC cases CCI #34 primers. I am using up this early 90's IMR 4064. Normally I use IMR 4895 because it throws better. I think I shot a 197 or 195.
For long range I used a hot load with 175 SMK, H4895 and CCI #34 primers. I have shot 199's with this load at 600, but not this weekend. Still shot a HM score.
When I drag out the M1a, I will shoot a 168 SMK with 41.0 grains IMR 4895 out to 300 yards, and bump it up to 41.5 at 600 yards. I use a LC case and CCI #34 primers.
You will receive outstanding accuracy in the 308 with IMR 4895/AA2495/H4895. These are all 4895 type powders. My second favorite is IMR 4064.
I think Varget will beat them all in a bolt gun, but I am barely into my jugs of Varget. Varget was a bit too slow for my M1a's as I got case head separations.
