Favorite cartridge

Right now I am leaning towards .357 Magnum.

I have an 8 shot 27-8 that seems to change the game for me. My other loaded guns are a 9mm Glock, a S&W 629 with .44 Sp, and two other .38s. But this 27-8 is badass.

I have a 10mm Gp100 and it makes a fine revolver cartridge, comparable to the 357 in power. Also have a 29 and have to say the 44 Mag is likely my second favorite revolver cartridge after the 357, I have 1 44, 1 10mm and 4 357's. I have a great interest though in 327 Federal and will likely be looking for a Single Seven at some point.
if I had to pick ONLY one it’d have to be the old 32-20 I have 2 revolvers and 2 Long guns in that flavor. Also ran, would be the “newer kid on the block” 327 Federal Mag., tho don’t yet own one 32 S&W Short, Long and .32 H&R...a 327 would digest them all. ...maybe soon, tho cartridges are as scarce as “hen’s teeth.”

I would say my favorite all around revolver cartridge is 41 mag. I shoot and carry a 38 & 357 much more!
I have owned a couple of 44 mags and would give it the nod for deer size game hunting.

I would like to give a 45 Colt a chance for all around revoler cartridge? Never owned one (except my Bond Arms). With +p + loads it would be great for hunting. Cowboy loads for plinking.

You will need an X-frame S&W to get crazy with 45 Colt loads. Cowboy guns don't handle that stuff. It is no longer offered, but if you can find a 5.5" Redhawk in 45 Colt, it would do very well. The other alternative in single action is a Blackhawk with 5"+ barrel.
