I am forwarding an update about the FCSA website (www.fcsa.org) for our webmaster. The FCSA site has been experiencing technical problems in the past week. Currently most of the site is operational, but most noticeably the forums are still down. The webmaster and the hosing company for fcsa.org are working to resolve the issues as well as installing new software for the site and forums to improve the overall site function. Also at this time the site can not be updated, otherwise this notice would be on the front page of fcsa.org.

It is expected that the issues with the site and forums will be resolved in about a week. When the site and forums are completely up, I will update you.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is David Moore, owner of Spider Firearms (www.ferret50.com) and one of the new Board of Director members of the FCSA. I am Chairman of the Range Development Committee and the Manufacturers Program. And it is my pleasure to serve you, the membership of the FCSA.

We have a lot of great things happening in the FCSA. So if you haven’t been to the site in a while, feel free to check it out once it is back up and running completely. And for those who are asking, the best way to get involved is to join the FCSA.

You will be hearing (reading) more from me in the future as I work to bring these BIG GUNS closer to you. I am working on plans that will bring matches and fun shoots closer to your home, in every state. This will be a great benefit to those who have 50BMG rifles, and also to those who are shopping for one. So if you are interested in learning more about what I will be doing, or would like to get involved from the start, join the FCSA and shoot me an email. I am looking for ranges (doesn’t have to be 1000yd), people who like to get out and shoot with their 50’s and those who would like to be involved at the grassroots level and put on a shoot.

One last thing. I would like you to remember that there are those who would rather we didn’t have firearms. Some of these are elected officials. And they have chosen to draw the battle lines at the 50 caliber rifles. Remember this during elections, if they get our 50’s, your rifle is next. The FCSA is working hard to keep our sport alive and the FCI (www.fiftycal.org), our sister organization is working just as hard to combat the liberal efforts to disarm Americans. Your support to both organizations is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
David Moore (a.k.a.Team Ferret)

Yes, the site is back up. There is more work being done to the site but it should stay up.
