Federal BOR Lock MZ Bullets

These BOR Lock bullets have been on the market for the last 6 years, but I never payed much attention to what made them the most innovative ML bullet design since the beginning of the space age.
There are 2 bullet types, a 270 grainer made with copper and a 350 grainer made with lead.
They're constructed with gasket materials that are permanently attached to the bullet consisting of an expanding base cup and a fiber reinforced base, along with a plastic tip.
They're legal in Colorado because they don't use a sabot, and the copper version is legal in California because it's non toxic.
They were designed to be easier loading, and have become known for being extremely accurate.
However at $22 - $25 for 15 bullets, they're also relatively expensive.
The reviews are generally 4 - 5 stars and folks are even using them for elk hunting.

It's really interesting how the gasket material slides upward to seal the bore when the powder goes off which is shown in the video simulation.
