So its just shy of 2am and my dog is off the hook. She is doing Jackie Chan backflips trying to hop the fence.

Its so comforting to grab a gun and just walk out back and see whats going on.

Turns out a couple people running from the cops tried hiding in the backyard of my neighbor directly across the alley.

I don't know what they did but the cops got them.

Just nice to know that had the cops not been 10 seconds behind me getting outback that I wasn't all by my lonesome with my curiosity...which I admit might one day get the best of me.

Couldn't agree more. I heard of a home invasion nearby recently, very comforting to reach down and feel the old wood grips of my S&W 38 special when i hear bump in the night.

My wife is one of those "why would you need more than one?" folks.

I just told her grabbing a backup is faster than reloading magazines when the zombies come...

+1 carter
the car analogies work best... i didn't buy a vehicle with airbags or seatbelts because i expect or want to be in a crash...
