FI repair

Can anyone recommend a smith to repair an FI model D in .380? This was the forunner of the Iver Johnson/Colt Mustang. Neat little auto just needs work. Want extract and may need new recoil spring. Its not worth enough to spend a fortune on but hate to scrap it.

The Iver Johnson Pony was a Star Starfire. Neither it nor the FI has any relation to the Colt Mustang. If the FI is a Star clone then the Starfire parts should fit.

Possibilities

I had one of those guns here recently, and thought the workmanship was of reasonable quality, and parts are not impossible to find.

You may figure that a minimum to ship, clean, test, a few parts and adjustments, and return shipping will have over $100 already in expenses. That being said, you need to figure if you can stand to have that much in that FI, or figure a plan B.
