I know it might not be classified as a non-firearm weapon but it could be used as one should the occasion demand. The carver was basically a over-winter project. Four rug rats and a busy work schedule kept me from getting much done this year. The blade is forged from 5160 steel, 14.5" oal, 1/4" thick along the spine. I used some old walnut that had once been part of a rifle stock for the scales and brass Corby fasteners. I made it for a good friend of mine who attends BBQ competitions. He wanted a slicer for cutting brisket for his presentations and I hope this fits the bill. If not it would make a great pirate knife!(or so my four-year old thinks)

Perfect. Your friend is very lucky.

Nice lines, good detail to fit and finish, and the scales just wow me.

Hope you get some free BBQ out it.
