Some months back I came here and started whining about not being able to find a Stainless Ruger Old Army in 5 1/2. I've wanted an ROA for years and years and just never got around to picking one up. Then they came out with the 5 1/2" barrel version and I thought it the most beautiful C&B revolver ever....and I still didn't buy one...dumb. Then I start reading that Ruger has discontinued them. How dare they do that! I hadn't bought one yet! They only gave me 30 years...that's not enough time. In geological terms, that's the blink of an eye and I have been accused of moving at glacier like speeds.
So just yesterday I see there are a bunch NIB listed on Gunbroker. So I said to myself..."Self, why don't you apply some hard earned private stimulus money and buy one?" Self immediately produced an Amex card.
So it's on its way, all the way from Alaska. I had a great half hour conversation with the seller...you have to love how cell phones have made that affordable. I have no concerns about the transaction and would really like to meet him one day.
Before "self" could make the Amex card disappear again, I went to order one of the Big Lube conical bullet molds. Guess what? Out of stock. Now I know it hasn't been near 30 years for those.
I'd really like to try a hollow base conical but I can't find anything at all there...
