Some of you may remember the difficulty I had with Clark Custom in obtaining this pistol but it finally came in. This is a Clark Custom Guns 50th Anniversary Millennium Meltdown 1911. It is a .45ACP and it is one of fifty made by CCG. It is accurate as hell. I put 200 rds of S&B 230 gr FMJ through this pistol at a target at 25 yds and got 90% on the black. The serial numbers are, of course, CCG 1-50. I'll let you all guess the serial number that I got......:neener: A hint: CCG 001 is in Jim Clark Jr. collection. I'll post more pics and closeup soon.

Very nice gun sir, certainly looks like it was worth the wait......that's a keeper.

Back in the late 80s I owned a Clark Custom Combat built on a Springfield Armory - super accurate! Sold the gun - big mistake! By the way - nice pic!

That's one of the most unique-looking pistols I've ever seen. Please tell me you're not going to carry it in a holster.

Dude, sweeeeeeet!!!!!!

I wanted one so bad when I first saw them in some magazine. Did it take a whole year for you to finally get it?

Thanks gang. No, it is not going into the holster, it was there because it looked good. :neener: Anyway, it was supposed to be delievered after about 7 months but ended up almost a year later. Problems they say....:uhoh: Anyway, this gun has no sharp edges except on the sights. It was designed to be carried but I don't think so.....Anyway, some closeups are coming.

How do they get that look on the slide? It's nice.

I read your post below on the difficulties you were having getting it - could you take a minute to explain the process for buying a handgun in New Jersey? It read like you had to ask permission to purchase.

Pretty! I could never buy a gun like that, though... aside from not being able to afford it :D, it'd irk me to have a piece that I'd feel I couldn't shoot...

I usually don't post on threads like this, but will make an exception here. That is a beautiful pistol. I saw a picture of one of those somewhere and thought about how much I wanted it.

Very nice.

Amazing the look "folded metal" can give you. (I know it's a little more complicated than that.)
