I bought a used but mint Spas 12 semi auto (evil black gun)

Finally figured out the complex 10 stage loading and firing process.

It takes a lot of practice to load and fire.

The cool thing is it will switch from pump to semi with a flick of the wrist.

I was really impressed with the large ring rear sight and large front post.

Slugs were very accurate out of this gun even though the barrel is cylinder bored.

After firing 200 rounds or so I was very thankful for the barrel shroud that kept the heat off my fingers.

The book says birdshot won't work in semi auto mode but I found some of the heavier #7 1/2 worked well.

The complexity of the gun non withstanding this is a well made, sturdy, overbuilt, reliable shotgun.

Anyone else have experience with these?

And heavy.

For 2 pounds and 1 round less and no worries about that O-ring, there is the M3 Super 90. You also, of course, lose that 'mean looking mofo' appearance. I like mine. With the shot diverter choke on it it's about 4' tall. Try holding it one handed without the aid of the stock under the arm (if you don't have the folder) like Arnold did in Terminator. Very tiring.

Here's another
