Wait...he isn't talking about a concealed carry permit, but just a "own a handgun" permit? $100+ in fingerprinting charges just to OWN a pistol?
I just started looking at the cost to get a pistol. It looks like the pistol is just "pay and go" (no extra fees or permits), but you can only carry in your house, car, or a few other places. For real carry it adds up to another $250; $10 fingerprinting, $140 application fee, $60 for a class, and you need ammo and whatever to actually get it done. Add $200 for a basic gun, and it seems like holsters are $50. That is a LOT of money for me.
