Finger On Trigger In New Army Uniform Photo ?

I've often wondered why the military doesn't go for something like Mossy Oak or that Realtree 3D stuff. To my eyes, it seems to work a lot better.

yeah but the new army one's are just plain UGLY, I mean I like the Marine Marpat's but the Army's look to funny to be taken seriously. Just my opinion....

I agree. At first it took a while for me to get used to the new Marine uniforms, but when you compare those to these Army ones, the Marine ones look a whole lot better.

Geez I wish the Army would just use the Marine ones, but I guess the DOD's Department of Redundancy Deparment wouldnt want us to save money by having our military using some uniform uniforms.

well, theres also little tiny eagle globe and anchors dispursed in the marine cammies, so the Army couldn't wear the exact same ones....

They need to break up the human image.

The idea of camo is to make it look like a human is not there. That's why ghillie suits work so well. Those small patterns all melt together at a distance... I don't care how cool it looks in the store or in a picture taken at 10 feet. Once you get out to 100 yards or so, they'll still be human-shaped when the colors run together.

They need something like ASAT camo...

Supposedly, this will be the only uniform, used is desert and woodland environs. Also, did everybody see how it looks with the tan boots that will be the standard instead of black?

I saw the uniform posted on an Army sight and they said there will be 3 different types, a woodland, desert, and urban. The pictures I saw had the collar done up mandrin style, boy did that look stupid.

We had the same uniform in all the services for a few years and now everybody wants to be different again. The Air Force has a new one as well.

Maybe it is good for when you fall out of an airplane and they cannot pick you off as you plummet to earth.
