I use the stock mags in mine since I added a US FCG (3), US butt stock (1) & US Pistol grip(1)... 5 US 9 Russian...

Generally perhaps, but I got lucky enough to find a major retailer that stocks them quite regularly, they even have a regular supply of saiga 12s. The price is going up, but what isn't these days?

While you can do this, it makes more sense to gently massage the top of your rifles mag lever so you can use any AKM mag. That way you can use any of the 100,000,000 AKM mags that are floating around in the world, instead of the one or two magazines you'll have to specially fit to the rifle (that will have weakened locking tabs).cleardiddion said:

looks like Ultimak is reselling the KVAR fixed poly stock...
or vice-versa....
'cause that's the exact stock I bought from KVAR
(which I like a lot, by the way.....it even has the little trap door in the but end for the little tool kit that comes with the stock Saiga)
either way, the NATO length is ~1-1/2" longer than the WARSAW Pact length and give a ~14" LOP.

Yes that would be very cool...
IIRC they don't chamber it for that round since it is the current military round and that is a no no in Russia or some deal like that...
Still if they made it for export... it would be the ticket ATM...

They make one in 9.3x54R but its only availible in Russia. Now that would be sweet except for the price of the ammo.
