"fire resistant" gun safe?

The safe is made of metal and will not burn. The high temperatures of typical house fires can still damage the contents.

There have been several threads about this. I don't think there is a really good answer to just how much of a safe you need. It is a lot like the 9mm versus 45 question, or whether one should vote for Bill's wife or B. Hussein Obama.

If you want real fire protection for your guns, you won't get it at this price point.

OTOH, you will get smash and grab protection, and some degree of fire protection, and that might be all you want, need and/or can afford.

It says Firearm safe. Not "Fire" safe.

I would get a gun safe with no less than a 30 min fire rating. Most fires don't burn in one part of the house for more than 30 min. due to either lack of fuel or water.
