First Gun purchase of the New Year

Went to the Gun Show in Lakeland yesterday. Didn't really go with the expectation of buying anything new. Took a mod.60 in case a trade presented itself, but really only planned on getting some 240 gr. LSWC 44s to update my supply.

Was barely in the door before I had an offer for the mod.60 I couldn't turn down. Now there was a problem. Couldn't possibly go home without a S&W snubby.

Had covered most of the Auditorium when I saw it, and knew I would not go home empty handed. A minor bit of haggling, fill out the paperwork and I have a new toy. Mod.649 snubbie in 357 mag. Don't know if I will like it but will let you all know. One thing is certain, it needs a trigger job.

Nah, you did good, I love my 649. Five for sure in 357.
You can also just use 38's in it, so you win no matter what.

My first purchase for the year was my Delta Gold Cup. If my wife has her way, it will be my last purchase too.

My first purchase was a smith M 12-2 with a 4" tapered barrel,box and all papers that looked unfired for $275.00,2nd is a smith M 28-2,6" barrel for $299.00,no box or papers but it looks great.

I also just picked up a 649 .38 +p last Friday.
