First Post/1911 question

Hey everybody. Been lurking here for a while and finally decided to join the fun.
I have a Springfield G.I. model 1911. I love the gun and have gotten pretty good with it. The only problem is the hammer bite. It will literally draw blood after about 75 rounds. I don't want to lower my grip any, so I want to get beavertail safety for it. Any suggestions on the most compatible brand for the SA 1911?

You can also mill down the exhisting safety to allow for the commander hammer. I did this on my 1911.
