First semi-auto shotgun to choose - need advice

For a lefty? Maybe. For a righty? I disagree. You can get caught by adrenaline and not remember whether safety is up or down, but with an 870 it is a simple push in. You have to adjust your grip more to disengage the safety on a Mossberg 500 than with a Remington 870

I am a lefty, but since most of the time I use a handgun with no manual safety (my 3 are LCP, SP101, and XDm) I prefer to have a safety that I can easily see on my long guns.

I am cross eyed dominant and have to shoot left. A simple left hand thumb switch on/off.

I am also LH but never bother with the safety in the first place - either the gun is loaded and ready to go, or the chamber is empty on a shotgun in my home. I leave it hammer down on an empty chamber
