Went to the range today to shoot my SKS and my .22 rifle, but their rifle range was down so i decided to rent a gun. looked around and saw the one ive had my eyes on for a while, and rented it. Beretta 92FS in 9mm. I think I did pretty good for my first trip ever to the range, also my first time ever shooting a handgun for more than like 10 rounds.

Bought a box of ammo, then another box.

In the first picture, there are markings for 10ft or 20ft. Second picture was done at 30ft, and third was done at 40ft.

Definitely need alot more practice, but I think I did okay.

Haha thanks...I think  j/k

In the middle target of the first one, theyre all low. Every time I aimed they'd shoot low. Not sure why, I'll work on that next time.

You were probably just anticipating the recoil. I think they call that "dipping". Have you shot the Beretta much? I'm not saying it kicks like heck or anything but probably does more than your 22. It looks like you did real good to me! I especially like your smiley face!:D

I really only have one main objective when I shoot. To have a good time. Anything after that is gravy :D If I end up learning something, I'm even happier!
By the looks of those targets, you had some fun. Good reason to go again ;)

I see a bunch of solid hits on a Bad Guy, and he doesn't look too happy about it. :D

That earlobe shot must've really ruined his day. :D

thanks guys :D

and yes, i definitely had alot of fun. if i had had more cash on me, i'd've probably gone thru a few more boxes.

now i have to wait til my wife turns 21 for her to buy me a 92FS :D

Have you guys ever noticed how much Mel Gibson flinches when he shoots?

Everyone shoots Beretta 92's low because the barrel is tipped downwards. An adjustable rear sight might compensate for this somewhat.

Funny you should mention that... I have a Taurus PT99AF that I've probably put more round through than any other gun I own, certainly the most of the centerfires. The sight is adjustable and it is adjusted all the up and it still shoots slightly low. When I was shooting it a lot, it would hit where I intended if I didn't try to aim at all, but when I did aim, it would shoot low.

Different ammo selection might help a bit but I've always used 115 Gr ammo for defensive use so I almost always used 115 Gr S&B and Winchester ammo for practice.

Still, I really like the gun, it's been 100% reliable forever and I have great confidence with it.

That is Very Good shooting .. if it was your first time ever .
Most people would have not even hit the center target on their first try that many times . Your probably a natural

I'm sure I would've done a little better had I not had to break my concentration to wipe off the fogged up range issue goggles...
