Has anyone used a Fist gun belt? They look good on the website. Apparently they are not double thickness. They say they are stiffened in the area from the middle of the back to around the front of the hip. They are about half the price of some I've seen.

I looked at some Don Hume belts in a local gun shop. They are really thick and beefy looking. I'm trying to avoid belts that look too much like gun belts. I've seen a few guys around town (even in suits) wearing belts that made me think they were definitely packing.

Slim,
Try the search function on for this. I seem to recall 6-8 months ago multiple threads on belts. I do not recall specifically Fist being discussed, but I am sure it has at some point. IIRC, Rafter S and Wilderness usually end up being the most recommended by those that respond to questions on belts. I have no experience with Fist, sorry.

FIST makes good belts and good products. Mr. Murnack will make you a double thickness belt quite reasonably if you want.

Milt Sparks and Kramer also make great belts but they will cost you more.

For a web belt Wilderness is the best on the market IMHO.

A good belt is absolutly worth the money.

Good customer service.

I just brought home a Don Hume belt from a gun shop here in town. I tried it on with my Milt Sparks IWB. I think it's going to work well.

Fist belts are stiffened in the area where the holster is worn. I assume they are not double thickness, which is okay if they work. I like the idea of a thinner belt that doesn't look like a gun belt as long as stiffening part of the belt provides the same support as a double thickness. It's not a big deal with jeans or khakis, but I'd like a lighter-looking belt to wear with a suit.

I've had Wilderness belt for the past 3 weeks and use it as my everyday belt(manual labor work) and i love it.
