FL permit: 57 days, door to door

Well, I mailed out my FL permit app on Fri. 16 April, and I just received it today, Sat. 12 June. 57 days. Not too shabby.

Now I can drive all the way back to IN for my 20th H.S. reunion later this month, carrying all the way! Provided I drive thru TN and KY and not IL, that is. Even tho I was born there, I don't have a whole lot of love for IL b/c of their firearms stand. I think I'll go the long way, so as not to spend a cent in their cruddy "Land of Lincoln."

No offense to the Illiani, of course.
 
Yeah I wish that extended to Ohio where I will be moving at the beginning of July because I live in North Carolina now and have a FL CCW which covers me, but it looks like I will have to jump through the Ohio hoops to carry again. Oops sorry that was kind of a long sentance. Well looks like I will start a thread on Ohio CCW to answer some of my questions.
 
Yeah, I was fortunate to get my NM permit app in under the wire, so it was under a month for me. I think I have the 29th permit issued. The DPS is just swamped right now - hang in there, DJJ; I'm really sorry to hear you're having to wait so long.
