When considering my eventual purchase of a 12-ga pump action shotgun (mainly for home defense), about the only thing I had in mind was a Mossberg 500. Budget is a factor, but never realized that there were so many stories of problems with them floating around. Though like the "Glock KABOOM," it may be more legend than common fact.
Then when reading Gun Tests, along comes The FN Police Shotgun
IIRC - Best in class 2006 from the Gun Tests people, but I know it was highly rated.
Let's see - corrosion resistant finish, 7+1 capacity, 18" barrel. Great, how much would THIS set me back? Oh? Oooooh.....that's not too bad!
From what I've seen locally, the price stacks up nicely to the ol' Mossy.
Now from the words of the GT folk, the FN has trouble feeding 3-inch shells. So that one minor (for me at least) caveat aside, anyone here have any experiences pro or con with the FN?
