My search for threads about this gun came up empty, so I wanted to start one:


I finally got to 'seeing' one at a semi-local store. Wow! I have no idea how it shoots, but I have to say, I'm very interested in this gun. In my life, it has absolutly zero practicality, but I don't need 'practical' to want or buy a gun. :neener:

I did a general seach on google for it, and didn't come up with too much in the way of first hand articles or reviews, mostly the FN site, and the Brady bunch :barf: site.

Anyone out there shot one? own one? What is the general perception of this gun?

It's a lot of money to spend on a non-customized handgun, that shoots specialized ammo, (this means $$$) all for the sake of 'just having one', but that being said, I've spent more money on items that I was less intrigued with. :banghead:

My experience thus far: so-so trigger, 100% reliability, light recoil, LOUD report, impressive muzzle flash

I also have no *need* for one, but have no regrets for having caved to my *want*
 
The bullets are "armor piercing" so it may be banned before long - or the ammo for it. Something to consider.

The mags would be reduced by half as well should a Ban be reinstated - which is currently unlikely.
 
The armor piercing rounds are already "banned" from sale to the public, but there are plenty of the blue tipped (SS197) available. There is also custom ammo made for it.

The standard mags are 20 rounds with a 10 round extension available.

I like mine, but it's not my favorite piece.
