These look really nice up close, the trigger is wonderful, I might have to get one of these. I am confused about what is what though. My shop currently has the "FNP-9" I think it is a 4". Apparently, the compact version the "M" designation is coming soon, but the specs seem to be the same, I am sure it is an oversight. Also, what is the FNP-Euro, it seems to have a different rail design and recurved trigger guard? Could someone clarify the specs on these? And, does anyone know if they will bring a subcompact to market as well? This seems like a great gun especiallly at the current pricepoint. Thanks.

Hey,
I have one of these. I have shot several rounds through it. It is a nice little 9 but it hasn't worked it's way into the number one spot for me. It is small and light. It feels good in my hands and it seems pretty reliable so far. On the down side, I haven't been able to get it to group as well as my others. I have a CZ40 that out shoots the FNP-9 all day any day. My XD 45 seems to group better as well. I haven't run a million differnt brands of ammo through it yet but to gain favor with me, a weapon needs to be able to shoot just about anything I can pack the mag with.
From the things I have read, I believe that the FNP 9 M is not for U.S. sale. It is the same weapon released across the pond. I have not heard anything about a compact version on this weapon yet. I have heard of an offering in 40 S&W but nothing in a compact. I may be wrong but that is the best info I have found so far.
Good luck..

Looked around some more. The M does look to be a Compact. The differences I saw were very little. The regular fnp barrel slightly sticks out of the front of the slide. The M modle has a barrle that is about a quarter of an inch shorter which makes it pretty close to even with the end of the slide. The only other difference looks to be the grip. The M version seems to have a shorter grip and that is why they are calling it a compact. The weapons still have the same overall length. The M version high cap mags seem to hold two fewer rounds.
Just what I have found..
Good luck..
