Does anyone know of a WOOD-and-metal folding stock for a Ruger 10/22 that would give it the look of the M1A1 paratrooper version of the M1 Carbine?

Yes, there are folding stocks out there, but I am looking for wood, not plastic, to look like the M1A1.

If there are none, is there anyone besides me that would be interested in one? I suppose if I were really motivated I could make one and document the process.

Thanks!

An orginial, unmolested M1A1 folding stock is worth more then several 10/22's.

And actually, the M1A1 stock isn't all that great, as folding stocks go.

The locking notch hardware quickly wears out & gets loose in use.
It is cool looking though.

Wow, that M1A1 is a beautiful piece.

Just so we're clear, I am not suggesting that I do anything with an original M1A1 stock.

I am just wondering if anyone makes, or has made, a wood-and-metal folding stock that would give a Ruger 10/22 the look (and handiness) of an M1A1.

Check ebay and Gunbroker for "10/2 rifle stock". Back in the eighties, a company made the stock for which you are asking about. It is an underfolder design. I tried to get one once, but the bidding on it went over what I was willing to pay.

Those butler creek folding stocks for 10/22s are pretty spiffy. I like mine. Easy to use and locks up tight.

That would be Federal Ordinance.

Unfortunately, the 1994 CCA, and the sub-par M1A's they were building, put them out of business.
