Tuner,where in NC are you?If I have some work done to my new and first 1911,a loaded springer I would like to talk to ya.I saw some of your posts on another forum.I live near Concord.You wouldn't have time someday to show someone in person how to detail strip one would ya?

I'd be happy to show ya the detail-strip..and it's doable, since you're only a little over an hour from me. I'm about 15-16 miles north of Winston. I use
the PHA range in Tyro, NC...just off I-85 on NC150 if you know where that is.

I used to race at tyro years back.Where abouts is the range there? Is it private?After the holiday rush is over I'd like get up w/ya so I can learn something about these guns-plus mine will be a little more broken in and you can show what I need to watch out for.Thanks for your help!

Howdy KR,

The range just about makes the Tyro/Churchland line. If ya pass it,
Orrel's Food Service is exactly one mile down the road. I'm gonna say that it's 3 miles...give or take...from the time ya get off I-85 onto 150.

Yep...It's private. Accompanied guests are treated in royal fashion, however.

After the holidays is good...or before if you're so inclined. I sometimes go to the range early Sunday, and you're only about 15-20 minutes away. The
approximate halfway point is The Gun Store at Crossroads on Highway 8...
exit 92 off U.S.52 if you know where that is.

I got your PM...If you got your pistol at the last EXPO show, I was the tall guy with the High'n'Tight and the camo Marine utility cap, wearin' a GI Springfield around my neck on on a cord through the lanyard loop...Far as I know, I was the only one of that particular description at the show on Saurday.

I was the short confused fella,whose hair was turning gray and hairline receding as I walking thru there! did ya see me-huh,huh.There was a lot more stuff at the Charlotte show than there was in Hickory.
