Second time out with my new Savage 12FV. First time was just breaking in the barrel and zeroing the scope. After that I found the recoil lug wasn't even touching the stock, so I bedded it along with the area around the action screws. I also floated the barrel and filled the forend with epoxy to stiffen it up.
I shot several 5 shot groups today at 100 meters, with the largest being 1.08 inches. Here's the best - .520 center to center. The load was 25.5 grains of Varget, Remington brass, CCI small rifle primer, and a 60 grain Vmax bullet. I think this gun has potential - what do you think?
