I found a used CZ 550 american today, near perfect condition and in the calibre im looking for. I found the bolt a little stiff, but still very smooth. I like the trigger when set forward (very nice) but seemed like it had a little too much creep in the normal mode. The stock finish is very nice and loved the overall feel of the gun. Can anyone give me reasons why I should or should not buy this rifle. Thanks!

...CZ makes good rifles. If thats what you want and it's a good deal...why didn't you buy it? BTW when you come to a gun forum and ask a bunch of gunaholics if you should or shouldn't without better negatives than stiff bolt but smooth and a little creep in the trigger. Odds are unless it was run over by a sherman or modified to fire around corners we're going to tell you to buy the thing.

I prob wont sleep thinking about it, I made an offer on it and will show up tommorrow to see if its accepted. I figured someone would know anything I should be looking out for in these rifles as I have never owned a CZ.

.243, used $700 canadian. No signs of wear other than a few dints in the wood of the stock.

You don't want a CZ. You get one and all of a sudden they start multiplying. I think they breed in the gun safe or something. :D

They do multiply, but I had to sell a bunch of RemWinRugers to make it happen.

There are better rifles out there. But not for the price. :D
