Hello there. I have a semi-auto Fox carbine in 9mm. Not the greatest rifle ever made, but as an open bolt carbine it is lots of fun to shoot.
However, I've noticed that it is missing its extractor(!) and perhaps a retaining spring. So now I'm in the hunt for that part...

Does anyone have a photo of a Fox carbine extractor and its spring or retaining pin? Or does anyone know if this carbine's part is derivitive of another such extractor. Any help on finding this part or even a photo of one that someone has would be greatly appreciated. It is possible one could be made by a good gunsmith.

Strangely I've fired about 50 rounds through it before realizing the extractor is missing and I only had one failure to extract!

Thanks,

Clement

Those were only in production about 2 years, 1974-76, then the factory burned down, taking all the tooling and parts inventory with it. As I recall, the 9mm version used STEN magazines, and the open bolt was similar to a STEN gun, so you might use that as a model for fabricating a new part. Spare parts for these are pretty much non-existent.
