A friend of mine has an old revolver (looks like maybe a 32 cal or similar). Here are the markings. Would like some information if possible and maybe value.

Nagants usually sell for around $100-130, and will chamber most .32 revolver cartridges. I don't know if there's a premium for collectors for models dating to before the revolution, but judging by the condition from what I can tell in the picture, I don't think that's going to be much of a concern.

That is true in the sense that .32 revolver cartridges will enter the chambers of the Nagant and will fire, but the cartridges are too small and the cases will bulge, so the statement is too broad and somewhat inaccurate. There are conversion cylinders to allow Nagants to use .32 ACP and some of those have been reamed to take .32 H&R Magnum and the shorter .32 S&W and .32 S&W Long.

I have shot 32 H&R mag in my 1895 nagant with no problem. It surprised me with it's balance and accuracy. I now shoot 32-20 win center fire brass reformed with Lee nagant die set. It is more accurate than I am, using 118 gr lead over Trailboss.

The markings show that this revolver was made in 1914, at the Tula Weapons Factory ("Tulskiy Oruzhenny Zavod"), founded by Peter The Great ("Imperator Petra Veliko"). The Tsarist Russians are supposed to have made two versions of these revolvers for issue, a DA version for officers, and a SA version for other ranks.
