Anyone going to or shooting at Friendship in a couple weeks?

Mrs. has been suggesting I retire for two years now. Even mentioned the free time to attend Friendship as a carrot. It is high on the priority list, but not this year. A better workshop with concrete floor is higher on the list.

I have never been, but have heard many stories from members that go regularly and will make the effort soon! I hear there are vendors selling the real B/p and other related products!

Do they have revolver competitions there? Or is it period correct for mountain man era competitions only? Not that I'm going to compete, those days are long over, but I'd like to watch and ask some questions because these guys can frickin shoot.

I'm going early Sat. morning, it's about 75 miles one way, the wife will do the flea market, I'm headed for the shoot vendors and see what goodies they have.

I'll be the one with the beaded headband and the braids corralling the two wild Indians.

They won't give you just a little time off for some peace and tranquility even at Friendship??? :)

If you have never been, go, and bring lots of money, along with a list of whatever supplies you might need, even if you think you don't need anything you will find stuff you can't pass up. NMLRA members can buy BP there from the association's magazine, at the spring shoot I think GOEX was $16.50 a can, Olde Eynesford $18, I did not buy any Swiss or Schuetzen but both are available. If it is your first visit give yourself at least a full day to take it in, two days would be better, three if you want to do the flea markets.

You can join the NMLRA at the gate if you are not a member. I'll be there Sunday and Monday.
