Wondering if anyone has any experience with Fulton Armory. I've been checking out their site for awhile now and am almost positive that I'm going to go with their Service Grade M14. Pretty much a done deal as soon as I come up with some extra dough, but any input in what to expect would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There was the suggestion of going to a few NRA High Power matches near you, and asking the people there for their suggestions of places to go for work on M1As.

Might be a bit cheaper, depending on the kind of work you want done, and the turnaround time would be a whole lot faster too.

Fulton is a top notch group of folks. They won't do you wrong. But don't expect a quick turnaround. They do good work so a LOT of folks use them, and they don't rush the product. I believe the last time I have heard mentioned was about a 8 to 10 week turnaround.

Call 'em & find out..................they're pretty easy to deal with. :D

Sometimes it makes sense to use the "search" function. There are plenty of opinions previously expressed - some of it is favorable.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. You must be a liberal - not that there's anything wrong with that.

They seem to get a lot of bad-mouthing from the highpower boys, but I have one of their service grade M1s and an AR upper and I'm quite pleased with both of them. Clint McKee has also been happy to answer my questions every time I've contacted them. I don't compete with these guns, but they're darn fun to shoot and I've never had a serious problem with them. That's pretty much all I ask.

I sent my Garand in for a new barrel earlier this year. I'm happy with their work, but the turn around time was 13 weeks.

I get a rifle from them, which is very reliable and accurate. They tend to cost more than buying from other dealer, or from individual, but I knew that it would be reliable, so I paid for that.

They, however, tend to try to "up sell" you. Why don't you get the sling... how about the oiler... We also have great books to go with that...signing copy from the author too.. Things like that, which I don't think it is a big deal problem.

I ordered parts from them from time to time, and they sometimes send me wrong stuff. They always made it right, though.

I think most of the complains is about their advertising tactic, which get to some folks. For me, it does not really bother me that much.

First off, if you're thinking of a service grade M14 built on THEIR receiver...

cut out the middleman and get one from Armscorp, it's the same recever just a different rollmark.

NOW

Do the search.......

this has been hashed out WAY too many times and folks are still buying from Fulton regardless of their business ethics.

and YES High Power shooters dispise Clint McKee and for good reason.
But what ever I have to say isn't going to be the golden bullet that changes Anyone's mind.

again, do the search, and make you're own call, b/c in teh end that is exactly what you're going to (and should) do in the end, make up you're own mind.
