Took my brother and 12 year old nephew who are visiting from southern California out shooting for my nephew's first time with firearms. We started with a Winchester bolt action .22 that my mother-in-law learned to shoot on over 60 years ago. We proceeded to my Beretta U22 Neos. We shot not only paper targets but balloons with flour in them and water balloons. I also demonstrated the difference between shooting a water-filled jug with a 9mm FMJ and a 9mm +P JHP. All in all we had a fun time and sent my nephew home with a couple souvenir targets.

Good on ya! I am sure that was the best time on vacation if they either have not shot a gun before or they don't get to at home.

I remember when I would be on summer vacation at my Dad's farm. It was great when my uncle would take me out to shoot is AR. Eventually, I would be allowed to use my Dad's .22 on my own. It was a great coming of age stage in my life.

I should note that the same could be said when I was allowed to shoot a rifle for the first time even though it was under supervision.

Good times! :D
