Got some Tulammo 357 mag ( boxer primed ) in the store last week.

You know what that means...

Yep.

Much like all of the other steel case I've reloaded, worked like a charm. Nice tight primer pockets, just like S&B brass case.

Used 4.5 grs of unique, behind a 158gr LSWC.

All of you other steel loaders out there, take note ! These are great.

If they pass the 5 load test like I did with the wolf .223, I'll be stoked

One reloading down, next to follow next weekend.

I'm sure it's gonna go just like the 45's though, without a hitch.

That's a fairly light load.
Most people seem to run from 7-7.5 gr of Unique.

If I were inclined to load at that particular level, I'd be pretty surprised if those cases didn't hold up to 5+ loadings.

But around that velocity, I think I'd rather use brass 38 Special cases and enjoy the quicker extraction and reloading of the shorter cases.

If I want hot 357 Magnums, I don't think I'd feel very confident in reloading the steel cases.

In a lower pressured cartridge like the 45acp, I think I just had an AH-HA! I loose 1/4 of it each range trip anyways. Why buy brass? I'll loose it before I wear out a low pressure cartridge like that with my 215gr LSWC target loads!

Yeah they should work OK. I have seen none of that caliber in steel around here locally yet though. The only thing would be the necks splitting sooner than brass due to all the working it goes through each reload with having to roll crimp them. Five reloads would be great. 45 and 9MM do not have their necks worked nearly as much and last longer. My big problem with reloading steel is the rust on the outside after the factory coating is worn off. If I put them in sealed Zip-Loc bags inside good ammo cans after tumbling in NuFinish they stay better but ultimately will show specks of rust after many months in storage.

Do you roll crimp the case mouths?

I've reloaded the 45 ACP steel cases, but they only receive a mild taper crimp. I'd be curious about applying a roll crimp to steel cases. Any issues or did it work out alright?

ETA Frog0207 already asked! (Sorry)
