Garand Serial Numbers

Well, CMP has just sent to me an email saying that they shipped the two Garands that I have on order.

The serial numbers are 2228XXX and 52XXX.

Can anyone tell me anything about these rifles based upon their serial numbers, or direct me to where I can find out...well, whatever I can?
