Does anyone know a good web site for military surplus web gear. I'm looking for issue moll gear but I cannot pay an arm and a leg.

Hell, if you're in NC just go to Saigon Sam's in Jacksonville. Plenty to be had cheap.

The local shops are also great. There's a fine art to separating the good from bad surplus. As a general matter Swiss and West German military surplus is the best. OLD US surplus is often fantastic. Some of the best items I've found and tested include:

Swiss alpenflage panchos
Rubberized canvas bags
Swiss backpack, the kind with the carbine scabbard built in
Old skool US steel ammo cans
USN heavy aluminum 15 gallon pot, which survived getting blasted with hot propane jets at 40 below and a 9mm bullet
plus many more

I live by the stuff.
