For those of you who are looking forward to a Geissele trigger for the IWI Tavor, here is some more information from Stephen McBride:

Joseph,

The feel of the trigger would be modeled after our SSA, the same as our other proprietary triggers. So a 4.5lb 2-stage trigger with a 2.5 lb. first stage and a 2 lb. second stage. If we were developing one of course.

Would that be a confirmation that you're developing a trigger for the Tavor or a "hint hint nudge nudge"?

Thanks,

Joseph

We have received a request from IWI to work on one. It is still in the design phase. No estimated time frame.

It appears that Geissele and IWI are collaborating on a new trigger, which is very exciting.

I'm a really big fan of the Tavor. It will become my go to rifle platform after I become proficient with it. I can use the Tavor both strong and weak handed without brass ejecting in my face and I can clear malfunctions easily. In comparison, the Steyr AUG ejects brass in my face when fired from the weak hand and the FNH FS2000 is difficult to clear malfunctions. The only negative to the Tavor is the heavy trigger pull. With an aftermarket Geissele trigger pack, I believe the Tavor will be close to perfection. The IWI X95 with a Geissele trigger pack will perfect the bullpup and would bring a lot of people over to the bullpup in my opinion.

I use a Geissele hi-speed national match trigger on my AR; it is absolutely the best AR trigger out there.

I'll believe it when if I see it. The problem with bullpup triggers in not the trigger, its the linkage that moves the trigger forward, otherwise they'd all have triggers as good as any decent AR.
