The wife and I wrapped up our vacation without the kid by seeing her cousin's band Dashboard Confessional. We stayed in Orlando for a couple of days since they were playing at the House of Blues. We went geocaching all day long on both days. We found 20 caches.

1st find of the day....a fake rock in the middle of nowhere:

Another geocacher rooting around an ammo can:

The hell with area 51...we found the ultra spooky area 13.....part of a retired Air Force structure:

Alien artifact:

We didn't want to get too close....the GPS was going haywire and our watches started spinning backwards:

Boardwalk in Celebration, FL:

Stepping onto the boardwalk:

Nearly stepped onto this very poisonous (water moccasin) geocacher. The wife high-tailed it out of the woods screaming at me to make sure I bring the cache with me. "Thanks honey....I'll just throw myself onto the snake to distract it while you make the find."

I encourage you muggles (term for a non-geocacher) to look into this activity. We have discovered more cool places in our own "backyard" than we ever imagined. It is a great family activity that gets everyone off the couch/computer/Nintendo and experiencing the outdoors.
