Buy bow and gun stuff (notice I don't call them weapons).
Good boots and clothes.....worth way more than what you pay.

"weapon" can be anything for offensive/defensive use against an opponent.

Deer are game animals, and while there may be a challenge, and we kill them.
It is a sport, not combat.

We don't use weapons to hunt, and we don't harvest critters. We kill them.

It's like the PC nonsense and verall stupidity of the world has infiltrated the woods and field.

Too many say they harvest deer with weapons.

Blows my friggin' mind.

The lack of understanding. If you are slave to prior word usage so be it. Heaven forbid we have folks that speak without thinking.

Minor deal? Maybe. I see at as symptomatic of a much bigger problem.

I would say get a muzzleloader...
however, you could easily exceed your budget, even with the cheapest muzzleloader available.
primers
powder
flask
powder measure
cleaning jag
new cleaning/loading rod (ones that come with the mz can be too short)
bullet starter
sabots.

looking at well over $100 there alone. and then time at the range to become familiar with the rifle and figure out the load. before you know it, that $200 can easily become $300-400
