getting what you paid for: binoculars

I have since gone to a monocular or spotting scope. No sense spending big money on binoculars since I can't see out of them worth a damn. My right eye is a lazy eye and when I look out of binoc's nothing comes together. So for that point I use a mono or spotting scope since my left eye is the only good one.

For others though, optics is no area to save dollars when it comes to hunting gear.

well, I'm on a hunting shoestring, so I got a pair of Bushnell Falcon 10x50 from Amazon for $28 including shipping. I've never looked through anything better, but these will do the job just fine, provided I don't drop them. I just want to make sure that my target is identified and safe, and since I'm hunting without a scope, at or less than 125 yds, the spendy optics would be wasted on me. For now. :)
